In the design and crafting process, we aim to ensure that no metal goes to waste. We use solid sterling silver from ethically sourced refiners in the US and 70% of metals used in our pieces are from recycled sources.

Ideally, we would source 100% reclaimed metals but as a small brand, it is challenging since suppliers require large order quantities. As we continue to grow, our goal is to source 100% recycled metals.

Our jewelry is made with sterling silver, brass, and gold vermeil. Avoid water, perfumes, and lotions on all jewelry. Sterling silver can tarnish due to being exposed to air so the best way to keep jewelry clean and from tarnishing is to wrap it in our anti-tarnish paper and store in our tarnish resistant cotton pouch. You can also use our cotton pouch to lightly polish any discoloration or stain.

* Ear posts and backs are all solid sterling silver & hypoallergenic as well. Since solid sterling silver is a malleable precious metal, ear backs can get loose. It can be adjusted back onto the ear post if loose.

Sterling Silver

Most of our jewelry pieces are made with solid sterling silver that is never filled or plated to create jewelry that lasts.

Care: Sterling silver naturally oxidizes so when not wearing your piece, it should be placed in our cotton anti-tarnish pouch. Our pouch can be used to lightly buff stains and dark areas. We recommend purchasing a jewelry polishing cloth to clean your piece. Do not wear your piece in the shower or while swimming.

Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil is gold plated over sterling silver and it has a minimum of 1.5 micron with 14K gold. It is thicker than regular gold plating commonly found in the market.

Care: Do not wear in water or when exercising. When not wearing your piece, it should be placed in our cotton anti-tarnish pouch. To clean, use a dry cotton cloth to gently buff your piece. Do not use jewelry cleaners on gold vermeil pieces.

Brass

Our brass is all solid brass, which is a metal alloy of copper and zinc.

Care: Brass naturally will patina when exposed to oxygen and moisture. When not wearing your piece, it should be placed in our cotton anti-tarnish pouch. We recommend using a jewelry polishing cloth to clean and shine your piece. If looking for a natural cleaning method, mix lemon juice and baking soda into a paste and rub onto the brass with a dry cloth, then rinse and buff dry.
