WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY
CLED is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website welcoming to all visitors.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
thecled.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Compatibility
thecled.com is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- The latest two major versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge
- macOS VoiceOver, Windows Narrator, and NVDA screen readers
- Keyboard-only navigation
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content on thecled.com may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Product imagery: A small number of older product images may be missing detailed alternative text. We are actively updating these as part of our content review.
- Third-party content: Some embedded widgets (e.g., wishlist, popups, currency selector) are provided by third parties and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We monitor these vendors and request fixes.
- Color contrast: Some decorative elements may not meet contrast minimums. We are working to update these in our next theme revision.
